I saw Hennings in the orange hall. Did not see 3rd rail, but they might have been there.
Both Hennings and Third Rail are in Orange hall. No need to call yourself blind. You were simply on sensory overload. there is a lot to see!
Gary. Getting in the door on Thursday is very overwhelming especially if you haven"t been to York in a while.
Gary, there are hall charts available in the orange hall lobby (near the soft pretzel stand) that you can take with you. 3rd rail is on the end of a row in the center main aisle, Hennings is across from them in the narrower aisles.
Hennings Trains is usually in the back end of the FRONT part of the Orange Hall where the rows are narrow. Near the middle of the hall.
3rd Rail: If you were at the OGR booth, 3rd Rail is usually within a couple of rows toward the center of the hall. Their booth typically fronts one of the rows in the rear section of the Orange Hall where the vendor aisles become wider. Again, if you're at the OGR booth, just step out into that big aisle that runs the entire width of the Orange Hall and you should be able to see the 3rd Rail booth on your left (as you walk toward the middle of the hall).
Assuming everybody is where they normally are. I didn't get out to York today as originally planned. Maybe Friday.

David, you got it right.
Sunset / 3rd Rail / Golden Gate Depot is at the same spot as they have been since the inception of the Orange Hall. DD something or other at the main aisle running lengthwise down the middle of the hall.
It was so close to the OGR booth that you could see the Train of Tomorrow on display in the Sunset/3rd Rail/GGD booth and discuss how nice it turned out, without having to leave the OGR booth.
Why would anyone use Kadee when Lionel makes knuckle couplers?

Seemed like 3rd Rail had a much smaller display than previously, so it would be easy to miss.
Dave,
Thanks for posting the photo. I didn't set the background display of Mike Kotowski's rendering of the SP steam locomotives up since I was there by myself and it is tough for someone past 70 (me) to do alone, but our table space and general layout of product display was the same as always as your photo shows.
Scott and I have discussed the possibility of replacing that background with something easier to set up / tear down anyway.
