Hi all, I was cleaning out my basement and found an old Lionel start set transformer. It was from an 027 Silver Spike Amtrak set, I think circa 1970s. In the middle has the speed control. On the bottom left is a plunger button. I assume for horn/whistle. On the lower right is a binding post with a thumb screw. I can't find where the other binding post is. Shouldn't there be two binding posts? If so where is the other binding post?

If not, how do I hook this up, and where can I get 027 lock-ons?

thanks

Frank

Hi all, thank you for all of the replies. OK, stupid Frank strikes again or dumb Frank takes another dive. Indeed, the direction push button unscrews and that is the other terminal. If this works I think I will use it to power the short street car line I am planning in my main street part of my layout. Anyone have a source for good quality 027 lock-ons?

thanks

Frank
