I have participated in many auctions since this Covid started. Stout, Toystrainsandoldstuff and a local house in Lynbrook by the name of Weiss Auctions. All have been great with no issues, well I just found AmbroseBauer, is it me or is this auction house a absolute pain to deal with? You have to be a member of a train club, if not you have to call them, print out forms and fax them. So much mumbo jumbo to read..Usually with the others , I register, put in card number and thats it. Just curious of what the deal is with them?

Drew J Bauer is a lawyer and Part of AmbroseBauer Auctions. This is why the paperwork is a pain.
I remember him from E bay, he has/had some very nice stuff, but it was also very expensive..

The lawyer thing explains a lot, that is probably why they do not take credit cards. The buyer has no recourse!! Well I guess I will not engage with them.
There are lots of good auction houses, no reason to put up the their BS.
When they were doing ebay auctions, there were warnings that if you printed them out would stretch floor to ceiling that if you gave them negative feedback they would haul you into court. Wait, where do I bid?

Hi Bob,
I think Stout is great and this one on Long Island, Weiss Auctions is very good. I'll stick with them. I hope all is well in Cincinnati!!
Yes, Norton, I agree with you 100%....these people are not easy to work with. Steer clear !!
