Dan has been a close personal friend for many years, dating back to when I was living in Laurel, MD, in the late 1980s. He, wife Flora, and Don are very active on the train show/meet circuit, and they have a very nicely stocked store in Annapolis. A good many of my Large Scale and On30 items have also come from Star Hobby. Great folks in every respect. Good prices, too!

Star Hobby is a fun store to visit with a large O Scale inventory. Nice location too. After a vist there I often cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and enjoy the sea food on Kent Island.

Star Hobby is the perfect combination of LHS and internet dealer. They have a huge supply of O'scale stock right at your fingertips if you prefer to browse and everything you could want for scenery and scratch-building. They are at all the major meets and shows and are always happy to talk you through any situation, whether you are well known to them or just buying your first Polar Express to put under the Christmas tree. I have personally asked them some of the dumbest questions a novice or intermediate modeler could possibly ask and they always take all the time I need to get me back on track. The guys at Star Hobby are great to work with. They are a big "Get" for this forum.
