My name is Ed...and I am a trainoholic.
Hi Ed....!
Thought this was going to be a gun thread.....I have no problem with that either....lol
My first memory is long coal trains running through Ashland Ky in the 1950's. I wanted toy trains from that day.....little metal toys I pushed on the floor. I took those trains everywhere with me. My grandpa took a big piece of cardboard and drew tracks on it for me....my first layout!!! Never been a single day since without a train in my house.

Me too but I'm 62 now soon to be 63
Being born in the late 60s.I got to see the gp9 and 7 pulling fast freight on SCL tracks. In fact where I live you can hear the trains. My first school was real close to the tracks.I would look out the window to see the train go by.My grand dad got me my very first train.I am was told by my mother. When the train was put on the floor and it operated. When ever it blew its whistle.I would craw over to the edge of the bed and watch it.
I’m not addicted at all. I can stop buying trains and/or quit this hobby anytime I want to. I just choose not to. Yes, really!
What?....... Don’t judge me!
Addicted .....No, wouldn’t say that,
but I am working on how to keep one running in my casket.
