Not to hi-jack that other thread with a similar title, for those of you in the Tampa Bay, Florida area or who visit that area, there will be a new train shop opening up in Pinellas Park in August.  That’s despite the fact that H&R Trains in St. Pete has been for sale for several years now.  The new shop will be owned by Dave Zitnik who recently bought the Lionel parts inventory originally owned by Bill & Jean Hollash.

Attached is a scan of a small flyer Dave’s been passing out at shows which has his email address, phone number, address and a link to their website although the website only lists decals for sale.  They are taking mail and phone orders for parts now.

As I get more details, I’ll try to post them.

He bought out Hank with the Lionel parts.  He bought out all the rest of Bills and Jean's parts inventory and Bill's train show boxes. I have known Dave for awhile from the train shows in the area. It was weird seeing Dave in Bill's usual spot at the Tampa Show. I was disappointed in his train inventory at the show. I hope he is as good as Bill when it comes to acquiring collections.  My only issue is now there are not any decent train shops that sell O gauge on my side of the Bay( Gibsonton). I hope any members who live in the area will take a trip and see Dave and give him the support we all gave Bill.

If you're going to miss one, the July show is the one to miss.  It wasn't as busy as the January, April or October shows.  Some of the regular dealers weren't there and it didn't seem as crowded as usual.

July in Florida is hardly train season!

Dave had a fair amount of stuff on his tables

but everytime I went by he was busy looking up parts in his Greenberg service manual for customers.
