The top two images picture equipment which was built for the LNER "Coronation", a service inaugurated in 1937 to commemorate the coronation of King George Vl and Queen Elizabeth. The black and white photo shows one of the observation carriages in its as-built configuration. The Coronation stock was stored during WWll and, upon their return to service, the observations were reassigned to the West Highlands of Scotland. Desiring to enhance the passengers' view of the spectacular scenery found along the West Highland Line, BR modified the end windows as seen in the preservation era color image at the top of the thread. Thankfully, both "Coronation" observation carriages have been preserved.

The bottom picture in the OP's post shows the lounge observation car of the "Royal Scotsman", a contemporary luxury tour train.
