Yes, that was a fairly new retooled engine the FM Train Master or part of it.  I love to see some NEW NA engines not the same old ladies with a different dress on. Unless it is a 2-10 hippo with a long tender on it. Love to see 44 tonner, scale RDC cars, scale Crusader, #60000 demo that is in the Franklin institute, Some new Reading camelbacks.  Now am I holding my breath,  NOT.  All that said I am sure there is something in there that I need to have, always have. "Every time I try to get out they bring me back in"

I don't have clue the first, but I'd like to see:

  • Some GP30's in Premier with the right fuel tanks and offered with scale wheels and fixed pilots.
  • Another shot at doing the McKeen powered cars, hopefully in CNW livery.
  • The EMC 1800HP BB Diesels -- ATSF livery. If they pull off the tooling right, they might be able to offer it in other road numbers.
  • Full-scale passenger cars in Premier; 18-inch [former] Premier passenger cars moved to Rail King Imperial.

I'd go for one or two new Euro freight cars (i.e. new molds, not just new paint jobs). A steam era tanker or flat car would be nice, and a modern flat car. Now there are only two steam era and two modern basic freight car molds.

And a GP-30 with Alco trucks as owned by Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, GM&O, and (anybody else? - those are the ones I know of).

And correct trucks on their cabooses, not the ugly and anachronistic T-section Bettendorfs they put on most of them.

Don't hold your breath on MTH ever producing 21" scale length passenger cars. That "notch market" is ideal for Sunset/3rd Rail/Golden Gate Depot.

Besides, Andy and Rich have stated MANY times at shows over the last 8 to 10 years, that they, MTH, are NOT interested in that market since the tooling costs are too high and they could not sell enough 21" passenger cars to cover tooling, design, and manufacturing costs in their market.

They've had the smoking whistle on the G Gauge Triplex and I believe other G gauge steamers for some years now. I believe it was first shown at the 2007 (?) York meet and following catalogs offered it. Relatively old news and I doubt you'll see it in O Gauge soon.
