I would like to see 3rd Rail do a run of EMD F9's. I mention it here because perhaps another FP7 run might be viable if combined with an F9 production run.

Why? The FP series of F Units are longer than the standard series of F Units (F2 thru F9). I can't imagine the builder trying to manufacture two different diesel models at the same time.

GGD mentions that an NP North Coast Limited set is "to be announced", which just begs for an NP F9 A.B-A set to pull it...

I second the interest with Albertstrains.  Another CP A unit and/or B unit  in 2 rail for me would be great.  I have one pair from the first run that I found on the "bay" (wasn't back into the hobby when orders were being taken the first time) and I am currently looking for the other A unit road number that was produced back then.

Well I do hope some interest has generated a possible production run for 2018. BEsides the two Pennsy Flavors, I would also be interested in the Demo version as well!

You do know these are the Canadian (built by GM of Canada) demonstrators that only toured north of the border.  I don't recall La Grange campaigning an FP7 demonstrator.

It looks like the other A unit is behind the A-B-B set, so you could have an A-B-B-A set.--
Thanks, Bob

Actually, if you look closer, that background A is a BAR unit.

Actually, I think that's the other set of FP7/F7B demonstrators.

FP7 GMD 7001a

The BAR only had F3's:

F3 BAR 42

GMD fielded two sets of demonstrators, both A-B-B sets: 7001/7002/7003 and 9051/9052/9053.  Both sets eventually went to the Soo Line.

Some of my latest research seems to indicate both demonstrator sets were built in La Grange...
