Before I jump off the deep end for an engine thats been at the top of the bucket list since I was a child, are there any known issues with the Lionel Classics 1-400e blue comet engine? I have seen a few that have paint cracking on the steam chest but it was listed that there was no structural issue but an issue with the paint itself. I have constantly looked at my little Hallmark resin 400e BC up on the shelf and if I can jockey some trains around, I might just be able to pull off owning one of the reissues. I want to run the piece, not just look at it! A local shop got in a ton of standard gauge track, brought home a full circle of AF wide gauge track today. Gave it the dishwasher treatment, then its time for some steel wool to polish it up. Mike
