Just curious if anyone can recommend a shop off the London tube system. I have to take a berevement flight this week. I may have a day of downtime so I thought of making a visit to get my mind off of things. I will be staying around Newberry Park- a London suburb northwest of Central London.

Sorry for your loss.

I have been to London a few times,  I have had great times at Hamleys Toy Store at 188-196 Regent St, Soho, London.  Its within walking distance between two underground stops,  Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus.  Its has seven floors and an extensive hobby section including model cars, trains, slot cars, etc.  There are a lot of shops in this area, so its easy to spend a lot of time in this area.
