Anybody have problems with Bachman\Williams "Peter Witt" Streetcar?

Because I do. I have the old Powermaster (6-12867) connected to a postwar ZW. The streetcar just won't work, the bell responds to the controller but it only once in a while will come out of neutral.

Works fine when I bypass the PM and just use the raw ZW output. I have two PM tracks, one with the capacitance fix for Protosounds and one without, the streetcar behaves the same on either.

I am inquiring about it on the Williams site but haven't got any real answer yet (which is OK considering we are just coming out of the holidays). One guy says his works with the Powerhouse - is there a difference between the way the PM works with the PH vs. a standard AC input?
