Hoping for the best for her and her family, whatever that turns out to be. She is missed!
Oh, wow...sorry she has medical problems. We do not want to lose any of our friends
from across the pond.
I really hope she is okay. I miss her A LOT!
Almost a month has gone by since the last post to this thread. Has anyone heard anything about Nicole? Has anyone who's fluent in Dutch sent her an email with hopes that a family member or friend who doesn't speak English might possibly be able to respond? While I'm optimistic and pray for her recovery and continue having good thoughts and wishes for her recovery, I';ll admit that as time progresses without contact from either Nicole, her friends, or relatives, it's increasingly becoming more disturbing and ominous. Puts playing with our trains in perspective in the realm of things truly important in life. God speed you Nicole.
I know she had she fought cancer before and was having a recurrence of it as of a year ago. Her forum handle for those who did not catch it means "Not Quiet Dead Yet".
But since its been 2 months since she last signed on and I know several people, including myself, have attempted to send an email to her with no response. I think we will have to assume that the disease has run it's course and she is playing with trains elsewhere,
However I do have a friend who is from Brussels, I'll see if I can get her to email on our behalf. Anyone know Nicoles full name?

I'm glad that someone had the guts to post what I was thinking and to do it in a sympathetic way. Before last month I really did not appreciate what "NQDY" really meant.
Well THAT is just a darned shame! I always enjoyed her input, but began to fear the worst, especially considering her "handle".
My thoughts and prayers are with her!

In her last email, she stated that if the latest drug trial did not work, she would not see the end of the year. Very, very sad.
I wish her the very best - she has been dearly missed on this forum!
Those of us with serious chronic health conditions (in my case kidney failure) can appreciatiate what she is dealing with!
Wonderful post Chris,, im sure we all miss nicole , but i myself and i think others really hope your wrong. gods speed, nicole.
Wow. That sucks big time......................
I was thinking about her just yesterday and telling myself I should post if anyone has heard. I miss her a lot. I'm am hoping her forum name is still operative . . .
I miss her and her posts as well and really do hope she is ok, but I'm beginning to fear the worst as it has been so long since she has posted here. She used to be around here posting almost every day.
wishing her well.
She seemed lke a doll, very sad.

Hope all is well!
.... Anyone know Nicoles full name?
I was hoping someone knew her full name .... and what city she lives in.
Each day I come to OGR, I check her profile ...hoping that she had at least logged in to read the forum.
Nicole sure has an effect on a lot of people here. I'm one.
I thought someone here lived close to her, maybe they could find out more? I'm getting a bad feeling, she was such a prolific poster, not to mention a ray of sunshine. I'm sure hoping and praying that she's coming back.
We hope for the best but must also prepare for and accept the worst. Nicole has not posted in quite a while. This would seem to indicate an unfortunate occurrence. How can we not miss Nicole's cheerful posts, her love of trains, and her unique sense of humor. The O gauge Guy from Australia (a forum sponsor)is a world traveler and knew Nicole personally. He might be the person to ask.
My Prayers Go Out To Nicole!
I think the Witch Graemlin should be retired, till her return.
Our prayers have regularly gone out to her.
She's been in my thoughts and prayers as well. Back in July she did answer an email. I reached out again in August and September w/o a response.

She once said she was originally from England as I recall.
she is from holland..
Wouldn't Rich have access to her address and other information? After all you needed it to sign up to the new forum?
Her profile says "Gel." Is that Gelderland Province, or Geldermalsen city in Gelderland?
Sure wish someone knew ... and her full name.
She was living in the Netherlands. The last E-Mail I spoke with her telling her my wife has some friends there. That was a while ago and I fear the news is not good. Very sad.
Maybe Lafondue from Switzerland has talked to her off forum?

Yes Chris you're right, i sent her something a few years back and I remember the package said
Holland in the Netherlands. This is so sad, she's such a great person. I really hope she's okay
Alex
Nicole lived in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. I did some online searching within the local Apledoorn newspaper but could not find a record of her passing. I have a feeling that the news is not good.

My prayers for her,

Any word about Nicole yet?
Too late for a European trip to check out the Christmas shop in Rothenburg o. d. T.,
with a side trip to the Netherlands, but maybe somebody can get there (Apeldoorn?) in the summer travel season. But with a family possibly in G.B., she might have gone
back there if seriously ill.

A couple of us have thought about that already and tried to check it out. No news so far, however. Nonetheless I am glad that this thread has got back near the top.
If this has happened, sure it will make us sad for a while. Nicole isn't in pain any longer. IMHO She's the lucky one....In a far better place surrounded by peace, love, joy and complete understanding of what eternal life really is.
God Bless,
"Pappy"
This was from her profile.
Yes, but it only means her account was logged on at that time. She did not make a post, and it could have been anyone such as a relative checking her account. Obviously we hope for the best, but given her condition and the fact that no one has heard from her for close to a year now, it's best not to drum up any false hopes. She certainly didn't seem like the type of person to just suddenly drop the entire forum like a sack of potatoes, not willingly anyway.
If she is still alive and well, she will eventually let us know. If not, then we can only say a prayer and move on.
