Several years ago at the "Big E" I purchased a set of Weaver E8's. I am going to convert these to the Conrail ExPRR e8's #4020 &4021 used on the Conrail OCS Train.
My question is has anyone purchased the MTH E8 fuel tank ? I would like to know if the MTH fuel tank comes with the Air Tanks at each end like the Weavers and are they as detailed as the current production PS3 ones.
My reasoning for purchasing these MTH fuel tanks are:
- Die cast fuel tank construction will add much needed weight to the old tired and true Samhongsa E8 units
- Built-in Speaker mount for my addition of ERR E8 sounds and electronics just received from ERR
- Added Details on the fuekl tank such as air line piping and more pronounced diesel and water cap fill spouts.
- use the same mounting holes since MTH purchased the Weaver molds way back last century.
