"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Hi,

A brother in law of mine recently gave me a container with old trains from a storage unit he purchased. The trains are mostly old Marx. When going through this stuff I came across some Japanese trains. After some research on-line I was able to find a web-site with a picture of the trains I have but no info on these particular ones. I am guessing they are powered by a DC power supply. The wheels on the powered unit turn and I can hear and feel the friction in the mechanism and it sounds okay. They are all in poor condition. They have been in the storage unit for about fifteen years and are quite corroded. The bottom of each car has "Sign of Quality" and "Made in Japan" stamped into the frames. There is a symbol on the bottom with what appears to be a "B" in a square stamped on there as well. Any info on the make and years these were made would be appreciated.
