I was thinking of using Kam Konnect for a small layout and was wondering if anyone had any experience or recommend it for a O gauge layout. It will be small, about 4' wide by 13' long.
I work in theater and display. We use this typeof product all of the time for quick and sturdy self alining displays and staging. It is more than able to stand up to modelrailroad use. I am surprised these have not been much used before. They are commonly known as" coffin locks" for thier first intended use. When we all go we will spend many years with a lock like this about 10 inches from our faces.
They can be had for alot less than Kam Konnect is offering them because they are not limited to model train use. They open and close with a big Allen key and are self tightening and alining. Good stuff.
Yes. They can be pricey but the tables come ready to put together and all the hardware is included. From the site they did seem pretty sturdy. And they can come apart easily if you move or change the layout. Mine won't be big at all so that seems a nice choice.
