Phil,

I use Windows 7 Home version and Firefox version 27 (the newest), and I don't seem to have any of those problems. I am only on this site from time to time during the day, but might be able to help you resolve issues if you are willing to provide more info as follows:

1. What computer operating system are you using and what browser/version are you using?

2. Can you describe, in detail, (products, location and size on screen) what "jumping ads" you are seeing?  How long do they stay on your screen?

3. What do you mean by "browser updates on bottom"?  Are you getting some message that your browser is outdated?  Can you tell where the message comes from?

4. Look at the bottom of my post.  Do you see a "Post Reply" button?  If so, when you left click on it. does a "Post Reply" box open on your screen?  If so, can you see the "Cancel" and "Submit Reply" buttons at the bottom of the "Post Reply" box?

Let me know and we'll see if I can provide some assistance.

Chuck

Sounds like you may have installed a browser toolbar that comes attached to just about every bit of software these days. In addition to that you may very well have a bug, especially if you are running XP still. Try running AdAware. It is free and is pretty good at finding malware. I am pretty sure it comes with a toolbar(everything does), so just make sure to say no when asked about adding a toolbar (ALWAYS). Click here to get AdAware.
