Both #18 (1316-1) and #19 (1316-2) were offered Aug 6-2007 as powered units.
#19 (1366-1) was also offered as an unpowered unit. Powered units would have been EOB speed control. From the Atlas website. Good luck with your project.
You may want to talk to Atlas about powering the unit. There were some issues a few years ago about non-powered Atlas units. Weaver models does several upgrades, I'd check Weaver also. Weaver ERR/TMCC upgrade.
Consider this non powered unit a conventional diesel. Weaver install is $250, you would still have to add the motors.
This isn't my Atlas unit, but Weaver did an EOB upgrade a few years ago. It was an early issue Dash 8 conventional cab that had a SAW Gen II mother board that had some issues. They did a mother board change out using the existing Lionel boards.
We did some lighting detail later.
A friend of mine bought a used CN C420 powered and swapped the shell of #19. Worked out great. Paid $200 for the CN on ebay. I'm sure you could get one cheaper, but that seems to be the most economical way to go.
Anyone want know were I could buy #19 or #15?
