Why do you say that?  He certainly wasn't oob last month at the Chicago meet.

JD's website is still up and running, but it's possible that some shops are curtailing appearances at train shows. I would be quite surprised if he's out of business, as JD's is one of the larger Atlas dealers.

I'd recommend Norm's O Scale, Western Depot, Deichman's Depot, Electric Train Outlet and Petersen Supply as good sources for Atlas products.

Off his web site I tried to email him and "no email address found" was a reply I got.  How is one to order if you can't contact him.  I did try his site first.

Jeff is not out of business.  If JDTrains doesn't work try AM Hobbies on-line.  You know he bought out AM Hobbies?

Atlas will do a dealer search for you.  Contact them and specify what you want and they will contact ALL their dealers to check for the item.

Thanks Cheryl.  Kind of like what MTH has for product search.  I didn't know Atlas could do it also, learn something new every day.

JDs Trains is about the only place I've seen that has offered custom runs with Seaboard Air Line paint schemes.  My problem is I'm never able to catch the offerings until it's too late (or there's no funds).

Try Caboose Stop Hobbies in Cedar Falls Iowa. Bet Merlin has it somewhere in the Atlas "blue room" (no kidding one room floor to ceiling, corner to corner packed with Atlas.  Don't know if he has on computer though.

Caboose Stop (Merlyn) is a great hobby shop and a great guy.  Very large inventory of Atlas cars.  You wouldn't be disappointed.
