Hello Friends,
New guy on the block and just coming into O-Scale and still run HO. I hope I can find some info here from other members regarding a Atlas SW1200 2-rail O-Scale with TMCC. I have searched forums (PAGES and more PAGES) of info and have uncovered information with all kinds of instructions for ReProgramming Codes Lionel locomotives but nothing for Atlas. The information I'm looking for is which number corresponds to this loco for all the features. I have looked and tried the numbers for the Lionel engines but no luck. I know this locomotive runs and has sounds as when I first received it it ran in conventional mode with whistle, bell, and engine rpm. When I finally got the TMCC equipment (Comm. and Throttle) and connected everything the TMCC worked with Whistle, Bell, RPM's, Couplers, and Cab light. Sounds and coupler has about about 30 sec. delay, so I tried resetting/reprogramming to factory and now get nothing. So if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
John

Reprogramming R2LC board to restore features.   Page 13 Atlas SW owner's manual.

(1.) Move switch under frame from Run to Program.

(2.) Turn on Command Base.

(3.) Place unit on track, then turn on power to track.

(4.) Press Eng (##) Set  Establishes ID.

(5.) Press Eng, (##), Aux1, (6) for your SW unit.

(6.) Turn off power to the track, wait 10 seconds.

(7.) Remove the unit and move the RUN/PGM switch back from Program (PGM) to Run.

(8.) Place unit back on the track and power the track.

(9.) Press Eng., then ID (##),  operate as normal.

I run my SW's in consists, sometimes as many as four units.  On occassion I have to assign a unit  to TR 0.  Most noted oddity is the direction operation is reversed.

Thanks Everyone,

@Allan O Thanks for the website I did a quick look on that site and he has a lot of info with the great interactive guide.

@Mike CT Thanks Mike for the info above. While I did try the Lionel #6 prior to my posting, to enable features the sound was really lagging as sometimes it would take up to 30 seconds for the horn to just come on so I thought I had the wrong programming number. I do not have the manual so I did not know if Atlas may have had a special number. Well I reset everything and programed the loco for #6. I got lights and sounds but again the sound was delayed for about 30 seconds. I thought wow what a PIA this is going to be. Well here's what I tried after getting this info.

1. Got fresh zip cord to make connections.

2. Cleaned ALL terminals with IPA (IsoPropylol Alcohol) and Goof Off.

3. Cleaned each section of track section by section with a Bright Boy, IPA, and Goof Off.

I'm happy to report back that everything is working fine now. With the RF being sent over the rail the connections from the TMCC module to loco must have been real flaky and corrupting the signal.

Anyway THANKS again to everyone!!

John
