Where would you get decals to finish an o-scale 45 container anyways?
Anybody can share any pics or links ?

After five weeks, no responses? I suppose the people that buy all those unpainted containers from Atlas don't visit the ogr forum.
Martin, just saw this post- Microscale decals are out there and mostly on eBay. You can use the 40' decals on the 45's, jusut alter the numbers for the lettering. I've repainted several MTH but none of the Atlas, at least not yet.
I've actually never seen the unpainted ones in any of the LHS's that I frequent. I'm just amazed that Atlas-O sells them for the same price as the painted ones. (That's true of all their unpainted offerings, actually.) But they keep offering, so somebody out there is buying them.

Martin,
My friend Lynn just did two JB Hunt trailers for forum member Anthony K. They turned out very nice

I've done a bunch of JB Hunt trailers, a must for modeling ATSF in the early 90s. I've also done some others, like Transamerica.
Like Jeff, I've repainted MTH 48 foot containers for JB Hunt and a few other shippers, but no Atlas containers. The only commercially-available decals I can recall seeing for 40 foot containers are Evergreen (which Atlas has done) and I think Mitsui. I may have a few of those decals, but I've never gotten around to actually using them. The containers I've most needed have been Maersk (and thanks to JD's Trains for the custom run of those) and Hyundai, which Atlas just recently offered. And there's no commercial decals for those, that I recall seeing.
By the way, Jeff, those UPS trailers are great. Nice job.

Thanks for the reply, Rich. I figure if neither you nor Jeff have attempted to paint an undecorated Atlas container, then I bet nobody else has either. They would have to make their own decals with an Alps printer or something.
That's a great looking JB hunt trailer, btw.
Hi, I am about to, i know someone with a good printer, i intend on doing some Wan Hai and PIL containers, i just ordered the undecorated containers, next i will get the Tamiya paint. I have done one before but in much larger scale (1/14) will post photos once done.
Two very popular trailer markings, UPS and Hunt, and Atlas doesn't produce them. I must say you guys did a nice job with those trailers.
Martin, Jeff, and Rich---great job on the UPS, Hunt, and APL trailers/containers. With the increased focus on intermodal and less dependency on loose carload traffic by the Class I's, we need to encourage our manufacturers for more intermodal. Lots of potential for new names and paint schemes among the intermodal trucking sector.
Would love to have a string of UPS, FedEx Mulitmodal, Yellow/YRC trailers on an intermodal train on my layout.
Recently, NS 212 had a Werner Global container on the train. Seen Werner trailers but this container was a first for me.
Check the Microscale website, you can order decals direct from them, and they have pictures of almost all the decal sets they have. They also show online whether it's in stock, discontinued, or out of stock. Don't know if they have any 40' container stuff but it's worth looking at.
