I have a HO question and not on any HO forums. Looking at them, I am not sure which is a good one. Any recommendations?
My question is there such a thing a non-wobbly HO split axles? The Bachmann San Francisco Cable Car, purchased years ago at Cable Car Museum years ago. I found it in my storage when I got the O-gauge trains out for Christmas. The Cable Car has always run like a hopping bunny as the split axles are not square to the wheels. Plus the wheels had a poor chrome job with drips. I cleaned the wheels by sanding them in the drill, but the wobble is still there due the centering and a few wheels may be warped. I think the wheels & axels are plastic with a metalized chrome dip for wheels. I would like to get this car running so I can use it on the small loop of track I have for it. Suggestions on replacements or fixing the centering?
