So we are about 4 years or so into the construction of my layout and I figured it was time to add some actual backdrops! I used trainjunkies.com and they were great to work with. I decided to film a full install video for those that want to see how this process works. You can also click and skip to the end to see the final product!

Great Video, the problem I had trying to use commercial back drops , is that they are not high enough

Thanks. That was my concern too. I think with the way my layout is set up with the upper level, these will suffice.

CHRIS, Great job! Nice wood shop. Photo tour of your wood shop?? It is great to have a designated space for a wood shop. Lost my shop in our last move.
DAVE, We have used the Backdrop Warehouse 36" high backdrops held up with Velcro and spliced with rubber adhesive then later removed it and used the same backdrop at another location on a different RR.
The three rail club at the Balboa Model Rail Club in San Diego also ordered another tier of sky to install it above their regular 36" level and ran their backdrop warehouse scenery all the way up to their high ceiling.
Backdrop Warehouse now has 42" high format available.

Great post and video @Cmontagna! I'm gearing up to do my own backdrop here and this video was very helpful.

Backdrops give the layout a whole new look. So much depth and detail. Looks great Chris!!!
