Good Morning OGR

I have a 2022 Lionel O Gauge Amtrak Phase III baggage car that has two drilled holes below each of the four sliding doors. It is my belief that something was supposed to go in those holes - either a stirrup or a single step. I have attached a photo of my baggage car so you can view what I am talking about. The distance between the holes is exactly 1cm. Any ideas of what should go there? I would like to put the correct stirrup or single step in each of the four sets of holes. I am not sure what goes there, nor where to buy it or how to manufacture it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I did a google image search for the baggage car.  See multiple pictures here.  It looks like there should be a 2-step stirrup in those locations as well as the car ends (total 4 on each side).  It is possible that the end ones were later removed due to safety regulations.

I also found this post on the OGR forum with pictures of the brand new Lionel cars still in the box, and like yours, it was also missing the stirrups.   I would look carefully through the packaging materials to see if the stirrups are a separate part in a small plastic bag.

If they are not included, Scale City Designs sells similar stirrups.  Type Stirrup in the search box and you will see several options that you may be able to adapt.

I have soldered passenger stirrups out of brass wire.  It is a bit of a challenge to get them square and symmetrical.  I would make that your last resort option.
