So my new current model Bascule Bridge arrived and I'm setting it up on the layout.  There are six spring loaded wiring clamps on the bridge frame and one additional clip on the u-channel brace.  Two of the clips attach to the control switch, no problem.  Two more attach to the power source, no problem. The last two are labelled"To center rail clip on U-channel" which again is no problem but the last one is labelled "To center rail outside block or A track power transformer terminal".  Will someone enlighten me as to what they are referring to by "center rail outside block"?

So far I'm pretty pleased with the bridge from the youtube's I've seen of the older models this one seems much quieter and smoother.

This is the pre-bridge section of track that will, if hooked up properly, keep your limited from taking a dive into the 'river' when the bridge is anything but down

The newer models....like mine...have an improved drive mechanism that is, indeed, quieter than the meat-grinder variation of a Pull-Mor motor in the originals.

BUT, if you want to get really cool about sound on this accessory, get ITT Product's sound module HQ603...
