My DCS remote tells me I have "bat" I check my "bat"
they are energizer aaa and each have 1.2 no load v..
Seems I am getting about 15 hours of use..
is that typical?
Does locos squawking and talking and huffing and puffing sitting on track drain DCS remote bat?

Could be, depending on the brand of battery.

No.

I use EverReady Rechargeable NiMH's.
Nothing outside remote drains it. 1.2 volts on an alkaline Energizer is too low. 15 hours is good. Backlight will drain it faster. I prefer the quick recharge NiMH but also use slow charge typed in my 3 remotes.
