Is there an alternative to the MTH PS2 battery charger(s) that are safe to use, perhaps from Radio Shack?

radio shack has been out of business for a long time, why not buy railking mth power supply for charging mth trains and will charge any engine batteries!

People charge internal MTH batteries? I don't think I've ever charged an MTH battery in over 10 years. I thought it charged while on powered track or when running.

When my battery reaches the end of it's useful life, I switched to BCR's.

My PS2 manual says put the engine in neutral on a powered track.
