We all have different stages in our layout building.  It amazes me when I look at old pictures and videos to see the changes.  I would like to start off the thread with a before and after picture of the same spot  Show us your before and after

Before and after reminds me of all the work done by the www.njhirailers.com in that 50 by 250 foot long room on the 3rd floor (before I got re-hired as a consultant and after I retired with 42 years at Con Ed).

Subsequentionally, since I never got paid by www.altransolutions.com after they picked my brains on many Con Ed projects that I was familiar with, I am now busier than ever just being an unpaid Grandpa driving them crazy baby sitting for my 4 daughters.

Don,

Looks more "DONE" every time I See it!

Jaymark,

Track plan added to post above.... started out with just the top half and a couch on the lower wall, then  I got a few more ideas so it expanded:

1) lower wall

2) track thru closet (upper right on layout)

3) small yard between closet wall and entry door

In case you're wondering... all Fastrack (except for a half circle and a circle of Realtrax), all O36 curves (I'm a Railking buyer), all O36 switches... track is not screwed down, except for about 4 pieces.

Televue-  I like the painted fake turf idea.  Seems like a great way to quickly get a realisticlike layout up and running without a lot of money.  Do you have any wider shots of the after?

Thanks Mich The green turf is slowly being removed, I'm not painting over top of it.
