I've already had to put one in the trash, so I thought I'd better ask the experts here before I ruin another one.
I am trying to figure out a way to bend these lights so they are parallel to the ground. Any suggestions, ideas, or things you've done to make this work. My first attempt put a kink in the metal tubing.

To bend thin wall tubing it is best to use a stiff coiled spring around the tube to prevent kinking at any one point. The spring spreads the force over the whole arc of the bend.
The trick is to find a spring small enough and stiff enough for such a small tube.

Oops! You can't get the spring over the light or base. Hmmmn...
Wrap 22 bare copper wire around the bend area. Keep it closely wound. It should prevent a kink.
