I see they are still on the net, with a price list. At York the owners said they wanted to retire and sell the line. I put a line of cyclones down this building's roof, and wondered where I'd get more if that has not happened or does not?

I talked to them at the O Scale Show in Worcester, MA five days ago. That was their last show. As of the Thursday show they still had a lot of inventory. As always they were nice to deal with. Imagine if you know the item number and call them, they would be happy to sell you what they have.

I have everything I need for THIS project....it is those unknown in the future that I'm worried about....what thingamajig do they now offer won't be there if nobody takes over the line?
The were selling all their stuff at 20% off at Worcester last Friday. I bought everything I thought had a future in my plans. They were doing a fairly brisk business when I was there....but they commented..."it's time to retire" so as we all eventually do...their pulling the plug. I couldn't help but think their business might be an opportunity for someone looking to start a small home based RR hobby business. Not me though.

I gave that some serious thought when I talked to him last year at the O Scale Nat'l....and I would have converted everything over to resin...........but I'm not retired.........yet!
Another source of detail parts drying up and blowing away in the wind........
Anybody get any parts out of Milepost Model Works?
I have also considered buying the line, I just don't feel like I can take the risk at this time. It would be a lot of fun to do it and a great support to the hobby.
For those looking for parts, My line of products www.westportmodelworks.com is different then Berkshire Valley's, Resin vs metal but well worth considering.

Spoke with them today, placed my final order.
They will be taking their last orders next week from what I understand, closing down at the end of the month.
Very sorry to see them go, their detail parts bring so many layouts to life.
Did they mention if they found a buyer for the line?
I'm not looking to take it on either…not like I'd have the assets to afford it either way.
Come on, Dave, you have loads of free time for this,
No news on their web site.........

She said they have more than one interested party, but could not / would not say more at this time.
If they do secure a buyer, which it sounds like there is a good chance of, the new owner would have all their client data and would most likely be contacting clients with their new information.
