Lionel 623, 6250,and 2032 - they all share same/similar motors and just glide along with great power & traction, I also would nominate my Williams 3748 GP-7 Conrail, what a puller that one is - quiet and no sign of strain even when it is!

My model of PRR G5s 4-6-0 #5740 was made by MTH with PS1 about 15 years ago. I have run it a lot and it is very well broken-in and very smooth, even at low speeds. The chugging sounds and whistle are outstanding, especially when running fast. I replaced the battery with a BCR early on. It has been a trouble-free locomotive. The PRR G5s was the most powerful ten-wheeler locomotive ever built.
