HEY RR MEN,
My layout models the country where I live: Southern California's Mojave High Desert, with Rocky Buttes, Lava Cones, Joshua Trees, Tumbleweeds, and Dry Washes, and no sign of Civilization!
There are absolutely no man-made objects on my Calico Freight Lines Railroad...it's just a lonesome short-line road running between Barstow and Needles, with no Crossings, no Switches, no Sidings, no Bridges, no Trestles, no Tunnels, no Telegraph Poles, no Houses, no Factories, no Businesses, no Forests, no Meadows, no Streams, no People, no Cars, nothing that represents Civilization.
It's just a simple short-consist freight train that winds its way between some of the most desolate outcroppings of the Mojave Desert Wilderness.
To me, it's the most dramatic scenery one could wish for!
Most of you civilized railroaders would disagree, I'm sure!
