I'm using heavy duty paper towels dipped in Structolite on top of a cardboard web to form my hardshell hills, mountains, tunnels, etc. I have cast some rocks and outcroppings with both Plaster of Paris or Hydrocal using standard rubber molds sold in hobby shops. Now I want to attach them to the vertical faces of the hills I've created. I tried hot glue...bad idea. Just doesn't work. I've seen Eric Segal's Geodesic Foam videos as well as David Farey's video where he's using Sculptamold which seems to work well but instead of buying something new I'd like to use Structolite, since I have lots of it left over from a 50 lb bag. Can I perhaps mix the Structolite in a different consistency than I used for the paper towel dipping to use as an adhesive?
Anyone got any good methods or recipes?
