UP's Big Boy made the comics this morning in Gasoliune Alley.  If you go to GoComics.com you can read the back story and see the model railroad theme being developed that led up to todays strip, like N&W 611 featured in yesterday's strip..  Things are getting interesting.  A tip of the hat to Jim Scanarelli who has been authoring and drawing Gasolien Alley for more than several years, keeping a favorite alive.  I sent a note to Jim through GoComics.com this morning, hoping he will not be upset with my sharing his work on the forum.  He is an avid model railroader and musician.  At 72 he's another of us old guys who like to keep things remembered.  I've always felt if a thought of, or a name is said out loud, the person or entity lives again, if but for a moment.  We are breathing new life into these locomotives with our care.  When they truly live again through fire and water they will move into the consciousness of new people who experience their magic.  Even parked the drivers stay in motion somewhere.

For those who care about such things, it appears Real Trains will be a theme in the Gasoline Alley story line for awhile.  Shall we see where it goes?

Attention: Steam engine on the tracks today, Saturday, July 12th, 2014.

Leaving the followup to you readers at this point.  I've enjoyed sharing this and admire Jim Scancarelli and Gasoline Alley very much.
