Blending the sub roadbed with the background

Hi All,

What can I do to blend the horizontal plywood with the vertical background?

I would prefer NOT to tear off one inch pieces of foliage and glue it in the 90 degree angle. Like many of you, I have several hundred feet of this to do. This is open territory and buildings will not work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
