I got a deal on a older TMCC k-Line from Trainz. Sounds no longer worked. The class lights on the boiler are on all the time from the locomotive pick up rollers and the firebox glow. The headlight is wired to the Blunami board, but not on the headlight terminal. The headlight terminal only works when the dynamo is activated. I  wanted to control the headlight myself. The tender back up light is wired to the board and lights only when in reverse as long as the dynamo is activated. The tender class lights are wired to a separate function terminal. So it's just the headlight and the motor leads using the tether.

The Blunami board is in the tender along with the bridge rectifier and speaker. I used a 2 watt Dayton 1.5 inch speaker from parts Express. The Lionel Fatboy is just a little to big. I am using the tender shell as a baffle. I think the speaker sounds pretty good, with a decant range.

I'm still learning all the different features of this board using the Android app. The Digital Dynamic Exhaust is a neat feature. The engine chuff changes automatically when going around curves and up or down grades. The only downside is a long train will reduce this effect. I really enjoy the equalizer for setting different Hz for the sound. It makes a huge difference in getting the sounds exactly how you like it. I have been watching the Soundtraxx videos and still quite don't understand the speed table. The speed table is like L M H on the legacy remote. There is plenty of options for whistles, bells, dynamo, air compressors, exhaust, it has articulated, video clip included and geared sounds also. To many to list. My favorite feature is the simulated wheel slip. It's a great option for 200 bucks to upgrade a locomotive.

Just sounds of the locomotive

Legacy chasing. 58 speed step. Gap stayed pretty constant around layout. If you are wondering what the articulated sounds like.

You can control the headlight when its wired to the headlight terminal. There is a button on main screen on the app that does that. Class lights can also be controlled if wired to one of the F(x) terminals. The F(x) terminals are actually meant to control lighting directly. Anything that draws more current can also be controlled by Fx but requires a relay or circuit board.
