Hi everyone.

Has anyone used their silicone jacketed 2 conductor parallel wire for track power? It states it is copper wire that is tin plated. Here is the link to Amazon:

BNTECHGO 14 Gauge Flexible 2 Conductor Parallel Silicone Wire Spool Red Black High Resistant 200 deg C 600V for Single Color LED Strip Extension Cable Cord,Model,100ft Stranded Copper Wire https://a.co/2oko0sN

I wanted tinned copper for easier soldering and anti-oxidation properties. I ordered a Base 3 and I am planning on wiring it per DCS style with wiring legs from a large terminal block. I am trying to decide on whether to use 14 or 16 awg wire. Still planning the layout but it will be around 9 x 17 give or take.

Thanks

I've ordered (and used) at least a couple spools from these guys, specifically this one. I used it to run 12V DC around my layout to power all my Menards buildings. It's been really nice to work with. The silicone jacket seems to me like a great mix of flexibility and protection. Haven't soldered it yet (all my connections were terminal style or using suitcase connectors) but I wouldn't expect any issues there either.
