Posted about 2 hours ago and my post disappeared.

I purchased a Legacy Atlantic this week. She ran fine. I left her idling for about 30 minutes while my grandson and I were in my train room, listening to the train sounds. Grabbed the CAB 1 remote and hit the whistle to fire up some smoke and take off. Nothing. Hit Eng-1-whistle...nothing. Powered her down and when I powered her back up, she didn't recognize TMCC.

Have a checked signal with another engine. Just fine.

My new train is 2231440

Any Suggestions?

I'm not the expert on this Greg, but make sure the loco's handrails (which are the antenna for the TMCC radio signal) aren't shorted to the die-cast boiler shell.  the stanchions are plastic now, for that very reason!!  Hope you get it solved, and please post back with the resolution if you do.
