Great to hear they're finally on the water!
I have none reserved, but I'm waiting for engines after them. So, good news ....

HUH? Where have you been? Bob S. stated this in the OGR Grandstand meeting! It's in the Muffinman's notes!
And I still don't see what all the excitement is about. The Last run of MTH Dash 8's were really superior!

What's that been? Like 10 years? Seems like it.
Well PRR, I’ve been waiting 8 years for my dash 8s, I don’t have time to read every post on this forum, I barely read the ones I’m a part of. I have a full time job, I’m a land lord, I have a dog that needs attention and a girlfriend. Reading this forum is low on my list of stuff to do

REALLY? Yet you managed to post over 44,000 times on this forum in the past 6 years.

Busted! No worries. We all at least peek at the site daily.
I partially agree with PRR. My heartburn with Atlas O, despite having 600+ rolling stock and 40+ engines of their's, is the BS having to wait multiple years for delivery of engines. They are worse than 3rd Rail, who has a legitimate reason because of their product.
I've had GP7/9's on order for 4+ years now. Inexcusable!
Fortunately, I have curbed my desire for specific engines (that Atlas O is the only supplier) and gone with MTH and Lionel.
Wish they would get their act together.
Maybe my F3s will come before I go senile after all!
Well it’s nice to see somebody cares about what I’m doing
If you knew what a piece of junk these things were in real life you would dump 'em in the ocean too?
I'm sorry my "Rails to Reef" initiative never quite took hold. "Create A Reef - Sink A U-Boat!" (GE that is)
And, to think that they could have produced something worthwhile, something with some character, something that was useful, like an ALCO T6!

That still doesn’t mean it’s a priority or that I read everything. I’ve also built 3 layouts in the last 6 years and I’ve had 2 different jobs that afforded me to opportunity to look at the forum a lot. Such is not the case these days. Got better shtuff to do. Like this weekend I’ll play trains then go out shooting for the day then come back n play trains. I may or may not post about it, we will see.
FYI, those points include “Likes”
A reply is worth 4 points
a like is worth one

I find it interesting you mentioned your dog before your girlfriend.
I’ve had the dog longer
I’d get rid of the girlfriend before the dog

She'd be thrilled to hear that, I'm sure. If she does, you won't have to make a choice.

Well, we really won't know what the excitement is about until we see them. One thing's for sure - the Atlas O engines will run on my Legacy layout perfectly with my having to spend a bunch of time and money and dealing with complications I don't want modifying it for DCS.
I like the fact that as a Tman model you can get them in 2 rail DC at a very reasonable price especially buying multiple units, I would have liked to seen this diesel done as a Masterline model although they are offered only as "Gold" DCC series but the sample models which Atlas has had at shows look pretty good, what I have learned from dealing with Atlas back to their initial O models "what you see in the sample models is what you are going to get" with the possible exception of newer electronics as this model was first announced in 2010.JMO

LOL! **** that profile page
4 points for me.
??? 4 points for me too!
Sorry Matt, I just wanted the points.... & I'm usually on your side!
10,000 more points for me, and Ill be able to get the toaster.
Anywho, I hope this means Atlas does indeed have their production problems finally straightened out. They make good stuff.
I'm pulling for ya, Atlas .... we're all in this together.
Because this engine will finally deliver to dealers/customers in June in no way infers that Atlas factory production on engines is back on track, unless the F3s can deliver by Sept and the next engine by Dec only then can we say they are back on track. JMO
A month or two ago an Atlas rep. said they were hoping to make the F3s this summer.

Dear Forum Members,
It has been so long this model is coming from Atlas I forget the roadnames offered and the price for the 2 rail versions.
Thank you in advance. John

Well rest assured that the Conrail version will not be in this line up.
Don’t sweat it Joe, I never paid attention to them there points I just wanted to illustrate it’s not a 1 to 1 ratio. I didn’t make 44000 posts.
I thought they were offering an Amtrak version?

Yes, the master line 4 axle dash8-32BWH, but this thread is talking about the 6 axle trainman dash8-40CW.
I have an order in for 2 CSX 2 rail Gold Dash 8's.
Dear Forum Members,
Thank you for the updated info. Ordered 2 ATSF 2 Rail Gold from Mr.Muffins trains offering a extra discount to per there thread elsewhere on the OGR forum.

LOL! It's kind of like "Who's Line is it Anyways" Points are like calorie counts at an all you can eat buffet.
Has anybody picked-up one from their Local Hobby Shop yet?
My Santa Fe units will be here saturday!!!
