I've gone off the deep end. At 9:30PM last night I decided that I didn't like my new turning loop platform blocking service access to the furnace, so I moved it and joined it back to my main table with a 55" bridge, made from a pine plank.
Found out what died in my basement last spring too... Eew.
Anyway, the bridge needs dressing up.
Keeping in mind that this is a "toy" layout with no intent towards realism, what would make a good material to build some side trusses? Cheap, easy to cut, and easy to join are the primary criteria.
