I heard back from Bruce. December 2021 is the date for Volume 2.

Thank you so very much for getting in touch with Bruce, and for posting this information. That is wonderful news. I have the standard gauge book and of course volume 1. I had feared that with COVID perhaps volume 2 would be on hold for a long time. Of course now we still have to wait a year but hey that's not so bad at least we know its coming

Bruce photographed one of my sets for the book at York (April 2017), so I'm looking forward to seeing it. It was great to have the opportunity to spend that time with Bruce when he took the photos. His knowledge of toy trains has no limits!!
Actually, Bruce is a superb researcher, he has learned a lot from others about Lionel Trains.
So now Rob English needs to grab the torch and do the prewar AF standard gauge and O gauge trains. One book would be fine.
