Just curious what everyone’s ideas would be on building curved station platforms? I have a MTH station but it’s on a curve just trying to see what any ones ideas would be to fill the space between the curve and the actual station it’s self.
Thanks!

I'm assuming the platform would be at track level. In my opinion, a concrete or asphalt platform surface would be easier to simulate than one made with wood planking. Get a piece of 1/16-inch-thick taskboard. This material has a perfect texture to simulate concrete or asphalt when it's painted. Cut the taskboard to fit between the curved edge of the track ties and the edge of the station. Glue the taskboard to the layout and paint it "concrete" or "asphalt." You could fill the area with plaster or spackle instead of taskboard...

I just did a platform extension for a Lionel station. I used a corrugated material used in sign making. It's a plastic product, took the paint well. I painted it with gray acrylic and then dusted it with a textured spray paint.

Im curious and ignorant, what is taskboard?
I wound up with my 132 station on a curve. I created the curved platforms out of bass wood and found spray paint that was a close match to the station base. This is an 084/072 curve. The mail hook has since been moved elsewhere since, any closer, the Bigboy knocks it over.

I had to look it up. Pretty neat stuff:

I don't have a curved station platform, so I don't address that, but I have dealt with the space between the station platform and the track.
In the photo below, I used my ridiculously way too big ballast (ground up asphalt and pebbles found along a road) and wooden ties (for a walk way) between the station platform and the track.
My thinking about the ballast is that my Postwar tubular track has rails that are way too big, so way too big ballast kinda works IMO.
Of course, one can use ballast more in scale than mine.

I’m looking to do the same thing. In my case, the station and one platform will be on straight sections and the second platform would be on the curve. I’d like to keep it so the building and platform stay connected so I’d need to fill in a section for roofing and a section of flooring. Curious if anyone has done anything similar?

Too many car variations in O. The overhangs may not look right with 60' cars. I would think you mean street - track level?
