Not bad. But from the rear, you can clearly see that they are not the same car.
I want to explain something. I researched "M&M collectibles," and over the last twenty years, they are all variations of the same silly designs. You do not need to spend hundreds of dollars buying a twenty-year-old figure to add to your collection--wait until Christmas and they will produce a bunch of new ones that look the same.
This left-over from 2018 was reduced from $9 to $3.50. When you pull down the left arm, it fills the open box with M&M's. It will be a gaudy addition to my Christmas 2019 lay-out. Christmas collectibles? Yes. Hundreds of dollars for M&M collectibles? No.

Our friends at Wikipedia.org say:
'It is also believed that the inspiration for the name [Cruella de Vil] began in 1939 when Dodie Smith purchased a new Rolls-Royce 25/30 "Sedanca de Ville" motorcar in which she and her pet Dalmatian "Pongo" frequently travelled, which also formed the basis of the cartoon imagery of Cruella's own motorcar.'
But, as I've argued elsewhere, it is likely a typical Disney composite -- a little bit of this, a little bit of that, all to create the best "vehicle" to tell the story.

I've always liked the Railgon livery and had a chance to pick this one up on eBay (for the soon-to-be scrap business). I bashed it a bit by installing MTH trucks which lowers the car for a more prototypic look.
In this pic you can see that the OEM car to the left rides too high especially when compared with the bashed car to the right.

Stumbled across this one on "the Bay" last week. It's from the 2011 OGR Tour of MTH. I'm going to have to do some actual work converting this car as it doesn't have Kadee mounts. I think I'm going to use the MTH scale-wheeled trucks as the car will ride lower.

Big box, plenty of bubble wrap, and everything arrived safe and sound.
There was more stuff, but the UP "Plainfield" vista dome and the upper and lower level interiors for the full vista dome were the important items.
The "Plainfield" will be used in a Norther Pacific North Coast Limited train--the train lacked a vista dome because I didn't want the typical LIONEL centered vista dome and that was what was available all those years ago when I painted it. So this offset dome will fill the void.
The interior for the full dome will go into a Great Northern Empire Builder project. The aluminum, full dome car is a LIONEL TCA convention car using interior parts from other LIONEL domes that came with interiors--hence the parts order from NLTW.
Bottom line: My experience with NLTW could not have gone better--everything I ordered was carefully packed; promptly shipped; and, arrived complete and undamaged.
That is really cool!

Fedex dropped off this PW 282 Gantry Crane today:
From a bay-of-e merchant. To be affordable it was purchased as-is untested and without a controller. Motor&transmission are very clean including clutch and it functions fine! It does have the several-teeth-missing-from-the-swing-gear syndrome one sees from rough handing but I can get along with that because I don't need 360deg rotation.

Keep in mind that I spent the course of 6 months applying to any job that fit my experience, before I got accepted to work with the company I am currently working with. So your experience with finding a job might be different from mine. Just do what I did and you will eventually get one.

Out of the box on Saturday. Fiddling around with couplers/IR sensors. Works great. So pleased I purchased number 2 (not here yet). The Acela is a quirky setup, but once connected properly, there is no finer looking or operating out there. They would have knocked a grand slam with more forgiving coupler/IR. I would consider an Acela as a good purchase if you are prepared to have to do some finessing when putting it together.

Thad... Reminds me of using the 300 ton Krupp in Houston area with a luffing jib for remove/install of air units in the Medical Center District, the Folgers Coffee plant, and several chemical plants/refineries along the ship channel. All back in the '90s before I got into management. Biggest problem we had was finding a long enough clearance on the ground to layout the boom/jib to assemble and teardown later! Great find, sir.

I believe the word “humongous” applies here!!! That is a beautiful model, Thaddeus.
P.S. I always wondered how they got the tops on those wind turbines
I never got to work with that tall of a crane. But about a decade before I started hvac I was in a building when a big one tipped over and took out a corner of it, about 25ft along two walls; the boom cutting right down thru it landing 10ft from some data processing folk, no injuries.
They called in a sky-crane to help upright the truck, load the boom on a trailer, and finish the lift.
That crane is pretty awesome!
Thadeous, the tracktor must be pretty heavy to offset the long boom! I didn't know such a model existed! Again, it is quite impressive
add me to the "wow that's cool" comments. Awesome model - keep us posted an you continue the layout.

Diverging Clear/Rusty... The 244 Scout is the engine from my first Lionel set. Had KMT before that, my brother and I, but the Sears set with the 244 was my first of my own, for my 7th birthday. I still have the original set, but this 244 is in better condition... wonder why, huh? With all the PW I have, can replicate my first set, to run, and have the original keep as is... not pristine, but original. That is, all except for the load for the 2404 flat, a brown automobile. Will have to due with a repro for the "2nd" set, to run, but finding and affording an original brown auto...…. Thanks for the likes and comments.
Glad I found the custom painted Atlas BCs. The Quanah Route was a short line from 1902 till 1984. It connected the Frisco and Santa Fe in Texas and ran between the Red River border with Oklahoma, South West to Floydada, Texas. Full name of the short line was Quanah-Acme-Pacific. Quanah is from a town in North Texas, along the route, name after Quanah Parker, a great Comanche chief. He, and his white mother, played a very important role in Texas history. The Acme is for the Acme Company, owned by a Mr. Lazarus, and a town also along the route. The Pacific is for aspirations not realized. The QAP ran small steam in the periods up to 1950s when they acquired GP7 diesels. So, one can use St.Fe, Frisco, and/or QAP names and be prototypical.

The K Line MP15 is a replacement for one I had and used for a custom repaint for friends in Wisconsin. Really like the MTH Premier MP steel caboose. It will be used with my Missouri Pacific custom painted F3s, in the freight color scheme. They were formally Lionel 2333 NYC, but they were the type with glossy shells and the NYC paint scheme had much that flaked off. When I had them painted by a friend in Chicago area, chose the MP freight for the road name, and already have the MTH MP E6 pass set. I also use my Lionel scale TP L3 to pull the 18" streamline when on TP track in West Texas. MTH made a nice set of heavyweight TP/MP passengers in the 90s that I may find someday. As for the PW 157 platforms, have enough for the layout, along with 156s, but to find two in boxes at the same show...…. at really good prices...….

Picked up the MPC eraAmtrak Passenger car because I liked the Phase I(I think scheme). Also it fits with my Amtrak RMT Buddy And some phase II scheme cars I got when I was 5 or 6
Finally, got these American Flyer “Rubber Sleepers” awhile ago. Too old and brittle to be of any use but I thought it was kinda cool
Any info on the 6000 Atlas flex track, Gargraves, and the #6091 nickel joiners is appreciated. I know there’s a height difference, so it’s either “won’t work at all”, “won’t work unless u shim” or “yes they’re compatible” lol

Nice haul !!!!!
Earlier this week stop by local toy train shop located directly across from the North Carolina Transportation Museum (NCTM).
Found and picked up the latest pub of the "Ties" Southern Railway Historical Association Mag. Inside there are two articles on what I normally refer to as the "wave" box car, 200,000 box car produced at the Pullman-Standard Bessemer plant.
One article on the original production which included an interesting tidbit on what the 100,000 car was. And also info on that plant.
Second article "The Rebirth of SOU 550555." The most interesting thing the NCTM actually restored the original car. Hopefully it will be a nice sunshiny day for the train show and car be outside.
Also two pictures of this from 1970 and 1980's.

edit:
Added pic of my MTH Premier box car model behind a MTH model of the E8 #6900 also active at the museum.

Picked up a few items for my layout today. Still have to get the layout up and running but this'll make welcome additions.
Starlite Diner and billboard. No sounds but simple enough to add much higher quality sounds to this if I wish.
I predominately want to model PRR so this'll fit in well... the derrick car made me want this one.
And what I've been looking for for a long, long time.
This is NIB and beautiful and quite a deal. I know where there is another B-unit if I want that as well.

Wow Kirk! What a great haul! I have always liked the diner and the PRR Sharks look great!

Picked these items up over the last week from ebay or the LHS:
Postwar Lionel U.S. Army Transportation CORPS #41 Gas turbine switcher. Had been sitting in my LHS for AWHILE but I had assumed it had gotten some maintenance. Went to run it, and it was making A LOT more noise than expected(I heard these were loud- but didn't sound right). Opened it up- Possibly the dirtiest motor box I've ever cleaned- the black grime was unbelievable. Gave it a thorough cleaning and now it runs great and sounds fine!
MTH RealTrax Lockon, 2 lights to put in different structures, and a BCR to install in my Protosound Amtrak AEM-7. Also picked up quite a few pieces of realtrax as I'm thinking of using that on my layout.
Corgi Tactical Strike USMC Infantry Set. 1:64th scale. Smaller than expected but will look nice on the more toy portion of my layour
Out of box Corgi figures. On the left is an o-line reproductions 1:48/o-scale figure to compare size different
2 new modern era rolling stock pieces and a postwar small motorized switcher- the later of which I've wanted for awhile
Green LV 16258 Boxcar from mid 90s. Will look nice on my LV consist
CNW work caboose- was only 5 bucks. Thought it looked pretty cool
O-line Reproduction soldier hitching a ride on the side of the switcher
After I saw that the Corgi figures were smaller than expected, I thought I'd make a line-up of figures on different parts of my layout. Trying to keep the size of figures consistent on the more scale portioned part of my layout so between the bride unknown maker of the US army soldier. Smallest on the left to the largest on the right:
Plastic Ertl County Fair playset figure, Plastic/Rubber Corgi 1:64th scale soldier, Diecasr American Flyer postwar bride, Diescast Worker(labeled Union of South Africa on bottom), Plastic Classic Plasticville 1960s man-walking, Plastic Model Power "o-27/o-31" woman walking with flowers, Diecast American Flyer figure from set Figure 578, Plastic O-line Reproductions Station Figure, Plastic Model Power o-27,o-31 figure from "Poor People" set, Plastic K-line O-Scale SWAT team figure, Plastic O-Line Reproductions O-Scale Soldier, Diecast Johilco Train station figure, Diecast Johilco "Hobo", Lemax boy with accordion, Rubber Homie, Diecast Army Soldier(unknown make) , Diecast WB Britains Royal Scots Guard, Diecast Lincoln Logs Figure, Die-cast Barclay Standard Gauge figure from Lionel Set, Auburn Rubber Trains(NOT AMT/AUBURN) figure

My LV layout is separate from the larger, main part of my layout. Since I'm from the Valley, and a lot of what I inherited from my grandparents or dad were more toy like- it's more sentimental so it has more of the plasticville etc.. When I get home I'll try to get a better picture for you
Anyway, the address your question, my LV consist is usually(in this order):
-RMT LV #41 Budd RDC(the LV RR did have 2 RDCs, although the LV 40 was a BUDD RDC 1, while the 41 was a Budd RDC 4) ....Marx Hopper 21429 LV hopper, yellow lettering w/ MTH trucks .....Lionel Maroon Postwar LV Hopper(1479WS Set)....Lionel Black LV postwar hopper.... 2 RMT Bethlehem Steel Ore Cars(Steelton & Johnstown plants, wish I had a Bethlehem Plant) ....Lionel MPC Era #9788 White "Insulated" box car...Lionel Kughn era 16258 Green box car....Lionel gray LV postwar Hopper...Lionel red LV postwar hopper.... Sometimes I'll lead it with a 627 Postwar 44-ton Switcher(the first engine I bought on my own).
In terms of motive power(by no means exhaustive):
Lionel: Postwar 627 & 625( many knock the pulling abilities of the Postwar 44 ton switcher but there's an easy trick to make it run better), ALCO S-2 Switcher, GP9, RS-3, ALCO PA
K-Line: ALCO S-2 switcher(I'm a big fan of the K-line S-2s), GP38, RS2
MTH: S-1 switcher, SW-1 switcher, RS-3, GP9, C-628, ALCO PA A-Unit
Weaver: C-635 is a beaut if you can find one
Williams: F3 AA, Berkshire 40503, 44 ton switcher(appropriate size), FA-1
There's more out there that I can't think of off the top of my head.
Here's 2 links with a list of the diesels that the LV RR had and info. 2nd link has pictures:
https://www.thedieselshop.us/LehighValley.HTML
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoList.aspx?id=LV
Also, I might throw in a some PRR rolling stock on occasion, but otherwise, I stick to the above. Mixing Bethlehem Steel in with an LV consist isn't that sacrilegious considering the Steel was the backbone of the Lehigh Valley. Same with PP&L as the PP&L building in Allentown is the largest building.
There's an MTH LV Tanker I've had my eyes on at my LHS, along with some other rolling stock: LV Reefers by Lionel, 2 PP&L gondolas(Lionel & K-line) and a generator car(Lionel), some LV Cabooses(that's the main need of my consist). There's plenty out there for LV rolling stock

You guys are missing one of the all time greats in Lionel pulling power. The LV Fairbanks Morse Trainmasters. No running on 0-27 for those puppies, but they ain't scared of nothin' either. "Stump-puller" was coined just for them
(nice Steve. & fyi G-mail had fits with photos last try. It even ate a few, lost to the data gods now,AND deleted by the stupid G-apps, even on my backup device, not even synced. Give me a couple of days for them to remove their heads from their ...well, you know )
Didn't know Lionel made a Lehigh Valley FM.
Gotcha @Adriatic - I'm still trying to process those! Email coming your way shortly.
For @Kirk R , here are those pictures of the LV portion of my layout:
First up- the Buddy leads. While I could put a more appropriate trolleyin the middle(LV had a large trolley service)- I chose this tin friction that fits on Flyer track if you position it just right
627 Switcher leads the consist. The crammed atmosphere of the Plasticville and the somewhat mismatched structures were common in towns outside of ABE, and even within ABE.
Shot from the West End of the layout. The Kent Cigarette pack on the hospital billboard is a tribute to my grandfater.
Shot from the East End. The truck to the left of the bank is a "Two Guys" trucks, a big 5 and dime store in the Valley.

Yea- As a kid of the 60's my dad started me in HO. I probably have twice as much HO stuff as O.
HMMMM.......did someone say build TWO layouts
Technically I did start with Lionel Trains. My first set was a Lionel HO ATSF ALCO AB streamliner set. Very nice set with aluminum bodies, worm drive on the loco too.

I purchased a Lionel Legacy DT&I crane and boom car from Grzyboski's at a train show back in February. None of my locomotives really fit the period very well and I've been wanting a nice switcher to shove it around with for demo purposes on the club layout. I've read good things about the Lionel Legacy NW2's and finally broke down and bought a UP one last night. Initially I planned to repaint it into the DT&I orange scheme, but I do sort of like the UP scheme and may keep it as is. I'm looking forward to receiving it and giving it a run.

Bought and opened . I bought some closeout cars from Mr. Muffin that were Atlas older boxcars. They look great. I also opened the new MTH special run medical car that I got from Stockyard Express. Awesome looking car. My son who is fascinated with the military loves the MTH military offerings.

My next victim - for a repaint that is. I scored this NYC GP30 new ,un-run in the box for cheap. NYC 2192 will become Penn Central 2192. The real life loco kept it's NYC number while in PC so I don't have to renumber it. It's already 95% black so very little painting is required. Mostly I'll replace the NYC name & logos with PC decals.
This is 2191 and what I'll use as my guide. Photo from RRPictureArchives.net
I already have another GP30 dummy unit that will become a PC unit too.
I love me some GP30's.

I received my NW2 on Monday. It was in a little rougher cosmetic condition than I was expecting but the seller made good on that. I have a new set of shells coming for my planned repaint. I think the smoke unit under the original hood got a little too warm as there is a slight deformation like a melt mark on the top of the hood. Other than that it runs and looks great from a few feet away. The sounds are very nice as well.
My only gripes are that for a Legacy engine they seem to have dumbed down some of the lighting features. The LED's in the headlights are very harsh "cool white" LED's that have way too much of a blue hue. On top of that, there's apparently no "rule 17" lighting in these. Not a deal breaker by any means, but a little disappointing considering the selling price of these.
Atlas Trainman Morristown and Erie 70 tn 9 panel hopper, both road numbers from Public Delivery Track exclusives. Can't wait for them to arrive and MTH Bush 4141 Engine - Premier

Thank you, sir. Obviously, I agree. I only buy roadnames that were in my area. Frisco, MKT, and the Texas Special all have St. Louis ties so it’s a home run for me. I bought seven of the Lionel 21” Texas Special cars from him as well (6+station sounds diner) so the battle station is complete!
Thanks Larry. My third Beep. They are neat little engines.

Larry, I’m going to start looking for one of those now! Very cool. Yes, the 3rd Rail version is TMCC.
I made a really big purchase last week on Friday. Mario's trains had a 8% discount on all their items and I decided purchasing the item in question would be the best deal. It's arriving next week, I can't wait to see it and test it out. It's the first; and most likely only; kind of model I will ever own. You'll have to wait and see what it is, but here are a few hints as to what I bought:
Engine was rebuilt in the mid 1900s; it's was owned by a fallen Flag railroad, that was bought up by Norfolk Southern in the past; and it's an engine that is currently on display at a train museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Pat, I love Shays! That’s a great find new in box.
