If you have not used CA , Cyanoacrylate,  (Super glue), here are few points.  Fumes can be harmful, read all precautions.

Sold as thin set, like water, medium set, thick set.   Thin in general will set quickly, thick, there is more time to work.

CA bonds tend to be brittle.

You may find for a wood model,  construction, Elmers glue, yellow, and Elmers glue, white, might be a better choices.  These glues, used sparingly,  work well, IMO.  You have better ability, for clean-up with these glues. Again IMO.

Painted surfaces tend to effect the ability of glues.   White/Elmers, more than CA.  CA is relatively aggressive, and will seek pores, open voids in material, even if painted. Often CA is used for dissimilar materials.  Plastic to wood an example.

CA sold is small bottles, once opened, and used, there is a good chance, it will last the project, but shelved until the next project, it will harden/ become useless.

Best wishes with your project.   Mike CT.

I don't have a preference for a brand of CA glue - wherever I happen to be when I need some is usually where it gets bought, although the big box stores have a very good selection.

For boost, I use a spray accelerator (rather than a hand applied liquid) that I get at an LHS - for me it's just easier to use because you sometimes need three hands - two to hold the pieces together and one to spray.

I also like the fact that some companies, DAP in particular, make a specific, fast (30 second) acting glue that can be very helpful when you need to bond something together quickly.

BOSSMAN:

Whether you use CA or wood glue if you plan on staining the wood do so before using the glue.

Painting is a different story - it will cover the glue.

To prevent warping use wood stiffeners on the inside of all walls. If the kit does not supply the wood, basswood can be bought any any hobby store.

If you have time buy a book that deals with wood structures like:
Model Railroad Structures from A to Z - Carstens Plub
Basic Structure Modeling for Model Railroaders - Model RR Mag

There are also endless articles in Model RR magazines plus on the internet (example https://www.model-railroad-inf...om/kit-building.html)
