Have any of you replaced conventional bulbs in an MTH Premier caboose with an LED option?  I’ve replaced caboose lighting with strip LEDs and the associated electronics but I’ve not been happy with the results as the lighting level seems spotty.  Also, it is a bit difficult to work within the small spaces and when trying to reassemble the unit, I seem to end up with wires pretty visible in the windows.   Thanks,

Bob

Well, obviously I recommend my lighting regulators.

LED Lighting Regulator

As for the strip lights, I look for 3528 style strips with 300 LED's for 5 meters.  They work well for passenger car lighting.  I use mostly warm-white or amber, depending on the vintage of the car, heavyweights get amber, more modern get warm white.  I did some Amtrak cars for a customer with bright white, he wanted to emulate florescent lighting.

I get a lot of my strips from AliExpress.
