Vicky my wife bought me the first engine she ever bought. A Milwaukee FM H-10. It had Protosound but still runs fine. I will never part with it because it is something special to me. Wondering if it could be converted to Proto-sound 3.0. I see it's being released again. Don

Don, I would imagine that it could be converted to PS 3, if it has D.C. can motors. I had GGG convert a couple of late 90s MTH PS 1 engines to PS 2 a few years ago.

Don: The engine should be able to upgrade to DCS, with the new electronics available. The sounds would be the same as on the current release. No reason to use TMCC if you don't want to. Is your engine in the Hiawatha colors like the photo? I had one, probably 15 years ago but it was simply painted the black and orange scheme. I sold it many years ago because I didn't know it could be upgraded. I now am waiting for my "new issue" model from my local dealer. This one will be in the "Hiawatha" colors, just like I remember them running around Milwaukee when I was a kid.

All it takes is $$$$$$
Yes it can be upgraded to PS-3. G
Any 3 rail engine with can motors can be gutted and fitted with the latest electronics.
Paul, yes mine is the first one they made and it's black and orange. Don
