This MTH loco has 411 hours on it but it has been doing this for years.
This problem started when it had about 275 hours but it doesn't effect the
running of it.I was just wondering if anyone seen or heard of this before.

LOL.... I would leave it.
Then again it might take and exorcism to get rid of it.
The quick fix might be to reload the sound file, but I'll
let more qualified people give their opinion....

Dang! Sounds like the engineer talking really, really, really fast. LOL.
Um, reloading the sound file may do the trick.
For openers, what is the product number? Is the battery new or fully charged. Have you downloaded the sound file again like Johnny stated? Let us know and it should not be a problem to correct.
LOL! Bob, it sounds like you're playing a 33 RPM record on the 78 speed. I agree with the others above and I would try reloading the sound file before anything else. Wow. That is definitely a strange problem.
I'm feeling your pain. I have similar issues with my Lionel Camelback Loco.
Until you resolve your sound issue I'd just run an alien associated consist with a few post war Lionel missile cars and rocket transports.
I hope you get this engine fixed soon b/c it's too nice to be allocated to the Island of Misfit Toys. Good Luck
Sounds like Looney Tunes cartoon characters!
Beautiful locomotive, though.

Product Number: 30-2254-1 First appeared in: 2002 Volume 1
Battery is new (replaced last week)
As far as reloading the sound file...I don't have the talent for that.
I'm going to just leave it alone
Thanks for the info....I was mostly wondering if anyone else experienced this
situation.
This the weirdest one yet since 2002..... (record/playback? proto cast ? Grand kids and a secret mike? Do you have more than 1 remote?
If you don't want to fuss with reloading the sound file, you might consider taking it to an MTH service person who will do it for you. You live in New Jersey, so you should have little problem in locating a suitable source.
Are you sure chip and dale/chipmunks isnt driving that loco??LOL!!
I say put Chip And dale figures in the cab and leave it alone
Having said that at :56 I thought I heard a munchkin saying "follow the yellow brick road".
Not to make light of the issue Bob, but that made my day
Try Marty's feature reset suggestion.... Menu/Advanced/reset engine/ feature reset.
I thought Rick was kidding, but I played back the video at 0:56 and sure enough it sounds like "follow the yellow brick road"!!! Thought i was losing it.
Very bizzare!!!!!
