Guess you could Dave but I don't know how they're gonna behave on 3 rail track.
3 rail wheels have a bevel to them and fine scale are flat. I would think the fine scale wheels would have all kinds of problems with 3 rail switches . The tolerances in 2 rail are Much Much tighter than 3 rail.

David

David, I'm going to run them on my club layout, the original section. We have an extensive part of our layout using beautiful hand made track, it was laid 50 years ago, and it's  fine scale, although 3 rail. In fact we can run 2 or 3 rail on our layout. The newer track is 3 rail Atlas with hand made switches. Finescale runs fine on that. Normal highrail wheels on the old track ride up over the frogs in the switches, and the flanges are a little thick. Strangely though, my coarse scale trains like Darstaed and Ace etc run OK on the old track. A bit rough over some switches, but generally OK.

I need to know if I can get fine scale wheels from MTH and swap them over.

yeah Dave, I don't believe any Railking trucks are 3/2 swap ready. You can get them two railed, or you have to modify them. John S has an article in OST about this using a set of MTH scale wheels. NWSL also sells sets. I have to do this someday because MTH makes their switcher that I want in Railking only? It's made with premier level detailing. I hope they'll modify the trucks someday for us.

Hi Joe, you say you can get them 2 railed. From MTH? Or are you talking about getting them turned down? Who is NWSL?
