Can you ID this car for me?

I saw a set of that looked like these at York a few years back.  They were die cast and very expensive.

Thanks Dennis. I like the expensive part. Any idea of the manufacturer or year? Or maybe it's is hand made from a kit? 

Looks like Scalecraft with Auel trucks.  Think late 30's into maybe 50's.  Could be 17/64th's - Auel trucks tend to be that scale. 

Used to be fairly reasonable in price although there are aficionados of Scalecraft (long gone) - Auel is still hanging around in another incarnation.  O scale meets you can still get these cars for as little as $25 and you can see them on eBay periodically.  Exceptionally well finished out ones can sell for whatever the market will accept.

Enjoy it!  That's one of the better looking ones that I've seen over the years - many are more than a bit rough.

Might be able to find another set of those Auel trucks since the spring planks are broken.
