Haven't had the Yellow Bonnets out in awhile (actually my wife claims ownership on these), but I'm going to run them this weekend in San Diego so I had to get them down for a little TLC. Lube, new traction tires, smoke unit inspection, painted the diaphragms silver, pulled the crew figures out of the trailing A unit, and of course had to upgrade the lead A unit to a fixed pilot and a Kadee coupler.
I'm not going to modify the trailing unit as my passenger cars still have claws on them, and no one pays attention to the rear unit anyway. I need to re-arrange the clunky tether between the units to run through the diaphragms instead of below the couplers......but not enough time for that project right now.
Nice work, Doug.
